Throughout the program you have the opportunity to advance through five levels of achievement. Borrowing from the martial arts industry, we have designated belt levels representative of your level of your expertise. The sleeve patches you wear when participating in outside competition have the Henson Bowling Academy logo as well as the belt level you have achieved.
White Belt: Possesses a thorough understanding of the physical game and can perform it using sound fundamentals
Yellow Belt: Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the physical game and can perform it consistently using sound fundamentals, and a basic understanding of lane conditions of varying levels of difficulty
Green Belt: Possesses a deep understanding of the physical and strategic games and can perform it consistently using sound fundamentals, the ability to repeat shots with high quality using sound fundamentals, a reasonable understanding of how to adjust to changing lane conditions, and a basic understanding of the aspects of the mental game
Blue Belt: Possesses an excellent understanding of all aspects of the physical, strategic, and mental games, the ability to repeat shots consistently with high quality using sound fundamentals, the ability to adjust to changing lane conditions, and the ability to maintain composure in high pressure situations
Black Belt: Possesses a deep understanding of bowling ball technology and challenging lane conditions, the ability to diagnose and correct physical and strategic problems while competing, the ability to compete at an elite level with composure and good sportsmanship, and the ability to teach those at lower levels of achievement
